Brand Identity, Digital Design
Collaborated with a team of writers and designers to develop See & Say, a new podcast series. Once developed, a brand identity, style guide, press release, web ad, and video were created to market the new podcast. The podcast series is based on the perception of recognizable American symbols. Design Team: Carrie Epps-Carey, Alison Maynard, and Brittany Crane.
Designer, Carrie Epps-Carey, collaborated with the team and developed a logo based on the double "s" that appears in the name See & Say. White lines set in an emblematic black shape mimic the grooves etched into a vinyl record that, when it's played, releases a series of sound waves.
The American flag is the topic of the first podcast. Inspired by Francis Scott Key's phrase "Oh say can you see," from the American national anthem, the team developed an ad campaign for the launch of the new series. The team collected audio recordings from people expressing their perceptions of the American symbol; the recordings were applied to a type-based motion graphic that ultimately reveals the American flag. Audio Recordings: Yvonne Eder and Alison Maynard; Motion Graphics: Carrie Epps-Carey.
